Back... Home.. Forward... Making a Folder


Folders (or directories) are "containers" used to hold and organize files. They are represented by a folder icon:



Often one must make folders in order to organize one's files. It is an easy task:

R_click anywhere on the background and select "New" => "Folder":



You'll wind up with someting like this:



Your new folder is ready for you to give it a name- Just start typing, and when you are done, either hit "Enter" or click your mouse elsewhere.



Renaming Folders:

"But something went wrong! My new folder is named "New Folder" or I miss-spelled my folder title!"
Don't fret! Don't cry! It is a simple fix:



Simply r_click on the problem folder:



From here you can "Rename" the offending folder. If it is still empty and you would like to start over, just choose "Delete" instead.
